The ongoing month of February will be one of the most important months for new car launches in India. A number of major automakers will be launching different new models in the country. The list of these automakers includes Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Tata Motors, and Toyota Kirloskar Motor. So if you’re one of those who have been putting off the plans of buying a new car, you should definitely have a look at the list of all the new cars that will be launched this month.
Hyundai Creta N-Line
The first car on this list that will be making its debut in the month of February will be the Hyundai Creta N-Line. The new N-Line variant will sit on the top of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift lineup. This new model will boast a much more sporty appearance and will get a number of new design elements. Most of the changes will be aesthetic, including a new front and rear bumper and a new spoiler. It will also get new funky colors and a dual exhaust tip. The interior will be fully blacked out with red accents all around. Mechanically, it will remain the same as the standard model and will only come with the more powerful 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque.
Tata Tiago CNG AMT
Next up on the launch roster is the Tata Tiago CNG with the new AMT transmission. The company has already commenced the bookings for this model, and it will be launched this month. The new Tiago CNG will come equipped with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The Tiago iCNG AMT will be offered in three variants, namely XTA CNG, XZA+ CNG, and XZA NRG. It will come powered by the 1.2-litre Revotron engine. Interested buyers can reserve Tata Tiago CNG AMT with a booking amount of Rs 21,000.
Tata Tigor CNG
Along with the launch of the new Tata Tiago CNG, the company will also launch the new Tata Tigor CNG AMT. The sedan sibling of the Tigor CNG will also come powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron engine, and it will also get the same twin-cylinder technology. Both the Tigor and Tiago CNG AMTs will come with features such as a single advanced ECU, direct start in CNG, micro switch to keep the car switched off during refueling, and thermal incident protection that cuts off CNG supply in case of a thermal incident. They will also come with a leak detection feature as well.
The Japanese automotive giant Toyota is also gearing up for the launch of its new crossover SUV Taisor in India. The new Taisor will be based on Maruti Suzuki Fronx and will look exactly like a Fronx with only a few minor changes on the outside. The inside, just like other badge-engineered models, will also be the same as the Fronx. Powertrains will also be the same as the Fronx. It will come with options between two engines just like the Fronx. These engines are a 1.0-liter BoosterJet engine generating 100 hp and 147 Nm, and a 90 hp 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine.
The South Korean automotive giant Kia Motors will also be launching the newest iteration of the Carnival luxury MPV in India. The company recently launched the new and updated Carnival in Australia, and most likely it will be making its debut in India this month. The new premium MPV will get a brand new sharp-looking exterior design and an updated and more technologically advanced interior as well. It is believed that the company will also launch the new Carnival with a set of new powertrain options, including a new hybrid powertrain which will combine a 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder with an electric motor, with an expected output of 169 kW.
Mahindra XUV300 facelift
Last but not least, the country’s largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra Automotive will be launching the all-new facelift of the XUV300 sub-compact SUV. The new model will get a brand new front fascia, a redesigned rear end, and an updated interior with a number of new features. Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged and will come with the same engine options as the outgoing model. At the moment, the exact date for the launch has not been revealed.
