This past week, L’Oreal SA took precautionary measures and issued a voluntary recall of its Effaclar Duo in the U.S. This comes after a recent testing report from independent U.S. Lab Valisure, which found high levels of benzene in acne treatments containing benzoyl peroxide (BPO) made by several companies.
 
E.l.f. Beauty continues its efforts to democratize access for women, this time in sports with its partnership with the National Women’s Soccer League. E.l.f. is the first beauty sponsor for the NWSL, the premier women’s professional soccer league.
 
Also, E.l.f. Beauty is facing a class action lawsuit, accusing the brand of inflating revenue, profits, and inventory figures in its financial reports. The case was filed on March 6 following a report by investment research firm Muddy Waters which was published in November 2024.
 
Florence by Mills has launched its first of three Hair and Body Mists. Soft Girl is a cozy, sweet gourmand fragrance that comes in a cute pink bottle. 
 
Korean skincare brand Anua has claimed the no.1 spot in the K-Beauty category at Ulta Beauty. Anua also ranks no.3 in Ulta’s Mass Skincare category.
